6 Ways We Blow Our Chance to be in a Solid Relationship

And 6 ways you can stop jacking up your chances to be in a relationship

If you want to be in a relationship but keep falling short, it’s time to re-group.

This is the moment where your dating-scarred, battle-worn elders warn you about the ways you may be jacking up dating so that you’ve been unable to have long-lasting, healthy, happy relationships.

Sure, part of the problem may be that the people you’ve dated are jackarses, but let’s look at another possibility:

You may be the arse.”

Here, I’ll describe six ways that I and others blew our chances at solid relationships because, admittedly, we were the arses. Plus, I’ll suggest what you can do to prevent yourself from jacking up potential relationships in these ways.

1. We passed on dates for shallow reasons.

I saw this guy at the coffee shop. We were regulars, so eventually we exchanged “Hi”s, which grew into chats, which grew into him asking me out.

From our first date, I could tell he was a good man.

For our second date, he arrived at my place in a silver Jeep. I was impressed because I thought Jeeps were pretty cool…
