Ah...Cosette. I so wish...relationships would only produce the good feelings and not the bad ones. I know this sounds awful, but I'm thinking of the feelings from having a dog (no allusion to men being dogs, I swear!). I get good feelings from having him lying beside me as I idly rub his tummy while I'm reading, but I get bad feelings from cleaning up his puke or feeling obligated to take him for a walk when it's 8 degrees F outside:( If only we could only have the good feelings in our marriages or relationships. Or...believe that the good feelings we can have in future relationships will outweigh the bad ones. One thing I'm being conscious of is that...just because a relationship with one person went to crap, I'm trying not to fault the nature of relationships (or the institution of marriage). Those bad feelings were specific to a relationship with that person, not feelings specific to a form of relationship. Co-habitating with one person might be god-awful yet be heavenly with another. (Then again, you really could just hate co-habitation with anyone, fair enough.)

Here's to you and me...having a much higher quantity of good feelings in our future relationships, no matter which form of relationship we choose suits us best, be it marriage or co-habitation or just...lifelong partnership living separately or...whatever you learn works for you, for any reasons that suit you. And...I hope the getting-rid-of-your husband process goes...as smoothly and painlessly as possible...
