Dangit, Brian. You got me thinking about this. I've been thinking about how to...convey why, for me, being a partner just isn't cutting it. I can imagine a poor man being frustrated, wondering why a woman insists on marriage when the terms of the marriage may be just the same as partnership, especially if religion isn't involved for either of you, and if you're both agreeing to no financial entanglements. I mean, you can live together and be partners and have all the benefits of marriage without the legal entanglements. So I looked at it, and I think reasons #4, #,5 and #8 are the ones that, to me, differentiate partnership from marriage.
