Funny how all the idols you listed would nowadays just be seen as...creepy:):) Women (well, just speaking for me) seriously benefitted when grunge took over the music scene after hair metal...so less confusing to idolize men who wore flannel and grew beards then to idolize men who borrowed our tights to wear and borrowed our Aqua Net:)

What sport(s) did your son play? Very cool that he found his calling. I can't help but think...sure he could have developed into this 'giving' kind of kid in a vacuum, but...I suspect there was some parental shaping...

The way you word stuff...like "benefits beyond just expense amortization"...seriously...when are you going to write on here?! Not for the cash--lawd knows it might not be worthwhile cash-wise--but so we can read what I know would be material we'd want to read...

I've often thought...if people treated their spouses the way they treated their kids, there would be fewer divorces. Well, some of the ways. Like...when kids mess up or are being annoying, parents keep loving them while supporting them and teaching them through those negative behaviors. We're not so nice when spouses mess up or are annoying...Just thinking out loud here...There's more to it, naturally--difference between expectations for kids and adults--but people seem to more freely give unconditional love to kids but not to spouses...

"Chips off the old Block"--haha! Nice! I want to see the list!
