Great points, Randy. It's difficult to tell which behaviors are minor dating infractions and which are red flags. Only after releasing them and inspecting how I felt and recognizing I had no regrets did I believe I made the right decision about it being a red flag. But before that, it was hard to tell...and knowing my tendencies, it's very important that I, personally, don't jump too quickly to the conclusion that what I'm seeing is a red flag. I personally need to slow down and make sure my gut isn't just being overly-protective or mis-interpreting what I see as it's prone to do. That 'gut' feeling sometimes can be based on past hurt or experiences rather than an accurate assessment of what's currently happening . That may differ for other people who don't have my same tendencies. But we're agreed that no way would we waste years with these doubts...but giving it a little time to assess 'minor dating infraction' vs 'red flag' is a good thing, I think. Thank you for reading, Randy!--Lee
