I think you're quite wise to know what you can't do. It's good of you to not agree to marry a military man, then turn around and say, "Don't do that".

Thank goodness some people do have that capability and willingness to have relationships and families with the people in our military who we may need to be our heroes. If no one would agree to have relationships and families with our military members, our military members would be like the Catholic clergy--no spouses, no children. I think of how many military people are motivated to heroism and to fight and to be brave because they care so much about their families back home, because they want to make sure their children are able to live free. If no one was willing to have relationships and family with them, they'd have little to fight for. Or on the flip side, if no one would marry or have babies with a person who wants to be in the military, maybe we'd have no one to join the military. I wonder who would be our heroes to protect us then? Hm. Maybe some robots? Anyway, thank you for reading and commenting, Anouk.
