Hello, Bob--That's exactly the critical mindset I wish people would take when looking at broad-sweeping numbers like that. I do statistics in my research. I do think there's 'some' value in identifying overall patterns so we can understand some reasons some people engage in some behavior. But there are a lot of ways to 'play' with numbers to get them to say what people want to hear. I so hope people resist that temptation and take the numbers as something to think about rather than basing decisions on one, singular number.
I like that you pointed out the need to look at the number of 'successful marriages' instead of just the number of failures. Great mindset!
