Hello, Neshia--I've definitely seen that some court legal entanglements drag on and on after divorces. It can be messy! It's nice to see that there are some legal options that can be taken before a marriage to make sure such entanglements are agreed upon beforehand. I'd definitely not be willing to marry someone if I thought that I would be 'considered property' or if I thought the other person's version of marriage had to do with religious custom. Good reminder that everyone has to carefully consider what marriage is to them and make sure their views of marriage and how it is to be conducted are shared.
