I see a rash of divorces happening right after the last kid graduates from high school. The parents seemed to think staying together was what they had to do, but I think…it shows the kids a poor model of what love and marriage looks like so they think ‘that’s how its done — you just breed and have a functional relationship with someone’ or, after their parents divorce the kids feel guilty that their parents stayed together and were miserable for their sakes. I understand parents are trying to do the right thing by sticking it out til kids are grown but…
