It is such a struggle, trying to time these things. I personally think--kiss when you feel it. But for sex--the 'right' number of dates is the number that the two of you have discussed. I'm a big believer: If you're not talking about sex, making sure you both understand and agree to the same things (including when), you're probably not ready to have sex:) But I understand other people have different beliefs about this; if it works for them, cool:)
