Mama Bears are Ruining Their Sons: Three Reasons the Men We Date are Unhealthy in Relationships

I’m bracing myself to get a lot of blowback from ticked-off moms who don’t like being blamed for the crappy dating scene.

It’s Mother’s Day, so I wanted to call moms out for all they did to jack up their sons so now I have to date these men and deal with the fall-out. Thanks a lot, moms.

I’m not writing this to scold moms, though. I’m writing it to teach women who are currently raising young men a little bit of child psychology.

And I’m writing it for you men so you can understand where some of this crap is coming from and consider changing what you’re doing despite your mom’s poor tutelage. I’m not writing it so you can blame your moms for your lousy behavior.

Here are three ways a mom accidentally sets her son up for failure in his future relationships.

1. You punished him for feeling.

I’ve been amazed at how people stereotype women as being emotional and men as being logical.

I’ve worked with mostly men my whole career and let me tell you: The men I’ve known are incredibly emotional. But they seem to spend a lifetime packing their emotions into socially-acceptable suitcases.
