Such a good topic, Jonathan. A trend I've been seeing...is that the parents of kids seem to WANT their kids to stay home (enabling perhaps?). They're best friends. Having their kids around gives them social lives and a lively home. I've seen moms making it really hard for their kids to move out because the moms make the 'just keep living at home' deal so sweet. It's as though...they're afraid they won't have much to do anymore if the kids moved out. Their identities are wrapped around their kids. I've seen them actually guilt kids into staying at home because 'mom would be so lost without us here'. (Dads may be doing this too; I just haven't personally witnessed that as I have with moms.)
