Thank you--that helps me understand how and why they shift. I hadn't thought of that before. Now that I think of it: Acts of service isn't one I typically think of as my language, but I do fall half in love every time a repair man comes and fixes something just because I so respect their ability, given my own mechanical ineptitude:) I'd be willing to go without some words of affirmation in exchange for someone who knows how to deal with the dryer when it acts up:)
