That phrase may be gory, but it says so much! I was recently thinking that, in dating divorced fellas, I end up 'paying' for the ex-wife did:( But I also see...sometimes in relationships people pay for what their partners' parents did. So...we just have to do our due diligence to not make others pay for our previous partners' or parents' treatment of us. I truly believe I'll find 'my person'. Just takes time, like any well-made diamond:)
