That's me, exactly, Brett. I too have suffered a bit from the 'judgment' of people who are really into family. Some assume that something must be wrong with me rather than understanding that not all families are healthy influences. Sigh. Sometimes it's been a minus because some fella I was dating would seem to feel he'd sort of be missing out because he wouldn't be gaining the wise counsel of a father-in-law or the great home cooking of a mother-in-law if he stuck with me. Then again, he wouldn't have to attend any family events on my behalf, so he'd be free to spend all holidays with his. We wouldn't have to negotiate which holiday we spend with which family...so...pros and cons:) Feels good to know you understand what this is like:)--Lee
