Ugh...You're having to experience being biased against in this way...Ergh.
Like you, I'm not married either despite wanting to be. I've had to learn that, when people want something but aren't getting what they want, then there may be some extra work to do so that they're able to get what we want.
It's like people who say they want to lose weight but don't. Something is clearly interfering, and until they figure out what that 'something' is, they're not going to do the things they need to do to lose weight.
In our case, we can use the old standby, "I just haven't found the right person yet". Instead, I like the idea of checking out what my own internal barriers are, making sure I'm healthy. That way, I'm not just waiting for 'luck' to send me the right person:)
Reading a lot has helped me identify things in me that I never suspected needed work, but once I learned about them, I'm able to work on them.
I really hope you don't give up, Brett. I think...we just have to keep learning and trying:)
