Part 2: Reasons divorced people warn you to not get married
When I wrote that I would like to re-marry one day, many divorced people filled me in on the MANY reasons they thought I shouldn’t want to get re-married.
Reason #1: That’s stupid.
Reason #2: Really, that’s stupid.
Reason #3: How stupid are you, anyway?
Just kidding. Kind of. But actually, that was progress.
Before I wrote that piece, some people seemed to think that a woman wants to get re-married because she’s looking for her next prey so she can empty a man’s pockets, eviscerate him, and render other untold horrors upon him.
At least now they merely assume that a woman who wants to get re-married is just stupid. That seems nicer than assuming she’s predatory.
Ok, ok. Just kidding here.
But seriously, some divorced people did chip in their thoughts to help me understand why they thought I shouldn’t want to get married. I want to make sure I consider their reasons carefully to see if should change my mind.
In Part 1 of this series, I looked at the reasons regarding how expensive marriage is. After looking at those reasons, I still didn’t feel convinced…
